Professional career as dancer, performer, choreographer and teacher

After performing with most of Austria's well known and renowned dance choreographers, Elisabeth Orlowsky founded the Companie Smafu in 1995 to work on her own choreographies and productions.

The Companie Smafu created dance performances for a young audience. However, the subject matter and the highly professional artistic realisation also appeal to an adult audience, offering inspiring and fascinating theatre experiences for all ages.

Elisabeth Orlowsky has also worked as a teacher, among others at the Max-Reinhardt- Seminar and the Drama School of the Volkstheater, and as a choreographer for the Theater der Jugend and the Theater in der Josefstadt in Vienna.

Since 2001 she has been teaching Music and Movement at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.

Since 2010 she has focused on commissioned works as a choreographer and dancer, among others for the Wiener Jeunesse Orchestra and the Tonkunstler Orchestra Vienna.

She also performed in the dance production “How many more times” by the choreographer Renate Graziadei at the Walk Dance Theater in Feldkirch (Vorarlberg).

She is presently involved in a theater music project called Fox P2 together with Susanne Litschauer that develops performances with live music in various settings and formats.
